This disposal unit was a replacement for an earlier version whose seals began to leak. The installation is fairly simple with two points to emphasize. First, if it's connected to a dishwasher, don't forget to knock out the knockout. Second, getting the top portion in place onto the three on ramps of the sink holder requires some persistence.

Works slick and haven't had any issues thus far. Does make a grinding or clanking sound when it is finished, but overall works wonderfully.

This disposal works great and the price is economical compared to the other brands I researched and priced. The noise is average which is a no big deal. It gets the job done and I don't feel like I had to empty my pockets.

I replaced the same model which was so gummed up the shedders wouldn't turn. The new one chews up everything you put in like it's nothing. Excellent product.

I went to the appliance store and looked at a couple of different brands of disposals.The salesman showed me the sounds of two different ones.i of course chose the whilpool due to its reputation through the years(i'm 69)when I brought it home and had it installed I was very surprised how quiet it was it was quieter than the sample noise in the store.As far as i'm concerned you can't go wrong with a whirlpool product.
