15,000 btu. Frigidaire home air conditioner

This is 3rd. Frididaire 15000 btu a/c unit I've purchased they work great for about 3-4 Arizona summer seasons, then the thermostat seems to fail, unit will start to freeze up, temperature control is lost, I do have other smaller units throughout the house frigidaire brand, I've had for over 5 years, because I do not have central air, have not had any problems, hope this 15,000 btu unit lasts as long as their smaller units did buy an extended warranty this time and registered this new unit with the manufacturer, We have approximately 8 months of hot weather here in Yuma Az. I understand this could be hard on these units, but in my opinion they should be able to last at least 5 years min. I'll give this unit one last try, if it don't perform past 4 seasons I'll be looking into other brands, in all the frigidaire 15,000 btu a/c unit works great cools beautifully been very happy in this area, the problem is have had to replace it every 3 yrs these units are getting more and more expensive, hope this helps you

Now I bought this to test my first wall unit vs central air. Says up to 850sqft. My small open floor plan home is just over 900. O.placed it at the very back with a vornado floor fan to push the air & at 92 outside we were very comfortable in South Texas. May need to add a.small unit in the laundry room at other end to keep the kitchen cool with cooking but I am very impressed. Our electric bill.DID go down!

We bought an 18000 BTU Frigidaire window unit 2 years ago for a larger area of the house and it works very well. This 15000 BTU unit replaced an old 12000 BTU unit that we had for 15-20 years. I searched specifically for a unit that was close to the same dimensions as the old one, because it is mounted through the wall and I wanted to minimize any modifications required to fit it in the existing opening. I was pleased to find that Frigidaire had a unit that fit the opening almost perfectly. I was a little concerned about the increase in BTU and hoped that it wouldn™™t trip the breaker. Our house is old and the wiring is just barely adequate. The specifications stated that it would run on 115 volts so I gave it a try. (The 18000 BTU one needed a dedicated 220 circuit). I am pleased to report that it works very well on our 115 volt circuit and the breaker hasn™™t tripped once in 6 weeks. I highly recommend this unit. I have other Frigidaire appliances as well and they all work well and are very reliable.

upgraded my window ac after 10 years.Chose this Frigidaire 15000BTU unit. Super performance, the adjustable flow venting allows me to direct cold air throughout my living areas. I use the ECO mode which helps by turning the unit off when my desired temp is met . I can do all this from the comfort of my recliner with the remote. Installation was simple and quick with the main heavy unit sliding in and out of the cabinet allowing you to mount the lightweight cabinet then just slide the unit into the cabinet...I have a small home and it really cools my living area quickly.....highly recommend

Due to the windows in my house I had very limited options to choose from. This was the highest BTU I could get without having an electrician come over or getting a new window. Overall pleased. I got it at the end of season so price was great. Hopefully lasts for many years to come.

Thank you for asking for my feedback. First and most important, the cool air it provides is excellent. But the problems begin with your remote control. The remote does not display functions , only the temperature which is not accurate, so when you want to use it you don™™t know what mode it™™s going to because your display on the AC is too small which is part of the problem. From a distance in the same room you cannot see the AC display. I have been using Friedrich air conditioners for the last 20 years and they give excellent cool air, but after five or so years they tend to have repair issues , but when they are working good they are excellent and their remote control Is simple and excellent , and will let you know exactly, on both the AC unit and remote control, displays, what mode it is going to Even from across the room , plus they add a little stand for the remote. But this time I wanted to try your company because my PC Richard representative said to try your company. I am using their remote as an example to let you know that it is possible that your remotes can function properly like the Friedrich Remote control.. Mostly identical in size and also use two AA batteries like yours. I would love to send you pictures of their remote and their AC display so maybe you can improve your products. Thank you for asking for my feedback which shows me you™™re a company that wants to hear from your customers. Also, I just thought that another big problem with your company compared to friedrich , is when you call for advice or For information , it™™s very hard to get a representative Without having to press numerous prompts.With Friedrich , they have one phone number and you can always get a representative within minutes without having to press numerous prompts.

This unit is a beast! It cools my large family room and kitchen, and has saved me over 1/3 off my electric bill. (My heat pump/ac unit went out and was going to cost a small fortune to replace, and it was HOT outside, so I purchased this window unit). I am so happy with my purchase. Installation was fairly easy...but does require 2 people due to weight of unit and safety precautions. I would highly recommend this unit. Of note, all of my other appliances in my home, i.e. stove, frig, washer and dryer are all Frigidaire, they came with my manufactured home when purchased, and all are 22 yrs old and still working).

Really happy with my purchase. Product states 550-800sqft cooling range, but this product cools down more than that maybe about 1,000sqft with help from fan. This unit cooled out huge living room and our kitchen with a little help from 2 ceiling fans. I can say I am very content with my first time purchase well worth it. I have a like new Galaxy S7+ and a Samsung A10 both with Android 8. Both suit my needs fine. The S7 is faster than most entry level phones and with a new battery, I have no intention of replacing it. I cannot load the Frigidaire 2.0 app on either! What gives? Both can easily handle a simple scheduler app. When I bought the Frigidaire AC, I wasn't aware it would be necessary to replace my phone and tablet to be able to use the app! Comes up "this app not compatible with your device" on both devices. REALLY? WHY?
